He hosted the orphaned teenagers at an Iftar (fast-breaking) ceremony on Sunday.
A number of officials, including the Minister of Cooperatives, Labor, and Social Welfare, also attended the ceremony.
After performing the Maghrib and Isha prayers and breaking his fast, the president talked to the orphans and listened to their demands and concerns.
Ramadan, which began on Sunday, March 2, is the ninth and most sacred month of the Islamic calendar, in which Muslims commemorate the revelation of the Quran to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
During Ramadan, Muslims fast during the daylaight, refraining from eating, drinking, and smoking. They then break their fast at sunset, in what is known as Iftar.
During Ramadan, they devote more time to prayer, charity and good deeds, seeking to strengthen their faith and purify their souls.
